This diploma thesis describes landscape division and its functions, considering the outside world and human as important factors. It deals with a definition of public space and public green vegetation with their impact on municipal environment and mental health in people. It also describes maintenance of public green vegetation like plant protection and trimming. The chosen area is described and analyzed in practical part of this thesis according to the accumulated data and field research. Making an inventory of existing woody plants and dendrology research were an important step to create a plan how to revitalize the park. This suggestion consists of description of individual plantings and other landscape elements, which connect landscape and mu-nicipal vegetation. Implementation of the project, plantings procedure and also post-planting short-term and long-term maintenance is described in the last part of this thesis.

The History of the Legal Protection of Woody Plants in Czech Territory

The History of the Legal Protection of Woody Plants in Czech Territory Abstract The subject of this dissertation thesis is the development of the legislation on the protection of woody plants growing outside woods in the territory of the Czech Republic. The thesis provides a comprehensive description of the subject in a broader context from the beginning of the Bohemian state up to the present. The thesis is divided into six sections focused on specific topics. Each section includes chapters and subchapters. The first section explores the earliest era from antiquity to 18th century. Unlike the other sections, it is not strictly divided into specific areas, as it describes the common ground for the remaining sections. Within this period, the main goal of woody plants protection was the protection of property, i.e. protection from theft and trespassing. The second section of the thesis describes the development of the legislation on trees planted along roads and tree alleys from 18th century up to the present. Trees planted along roads are essential not only in terms of landscape formation but also in terms of the protection of roads and road traffic. Comparing health condition of the trees in the park Zámecký and the park Husovy sady.

the purpose is to summarize the historical events in the park until the present. Performs an inspection of the park, checking damage by both biotic (fungi, insects) and abiotic factors. At castlep ark will be performed inspection whether anything has changed since the previous investigation. On this basis, there will be in the end performed comparison of the state of health and occurrence of disturbances of individual parks. There will be valued the presence of pathogenic fungi, insect pests and abiotic damage. In all cases there will be done photographic documentation.

Inventory of memorable trees in the Blanik Protected Landscape Area

As the name suggests, in my bachelor thesis, I was dealing with the inventory of memorable trees in the smallest Protected Landscape Area - CHKO Blaník.
Functions of trees, located in the countryside and in the urban area, are defined in the introductory section. The part following deals with the historical development of tree protection, and is divided into forest conservation and trees outside forests. Wood plants growing outside of the forests are further described in terms of their protection, permitted felling and legally compulsory replacement planting, in accordance with applicable law.
A substantial part of the thesis is dedicated to memorable trees. Firstly, the significance of memorable trees is presented and the current state is being compared with the past, further on, the record memorable trees in our country are mentioned. In accordance to legal rules, legal and contractual protection is specified, essential elements, concerning declaration of memorable trees, their registration and annulment. A tree care, also subjected to legislation, is aimed at preservative tree care, cut trees and tree ties. For each type of care, treatment methods or tools are described. In the context of protection of memorable trees, the project of rescuing the gene pool of memorable trees is also mentioned and then the memorable trees abroad are briefly described. The protected landscape, in which the revision took place, is briefly described in the context of its geological past and represented fauna and flora. Then the description of small protected areas of the region follows.
Then the revision of memorable trees was performed, including measurements of dendrometic parameters, for example determining the height of the tree, its perimeter, width and height of the crown. Futhermore, the treatment of each tree was summerized according to Central list of nature protection, and photographic documentation of each individual at the time of foliage and without foliage was taken to understand the habitus of the tree. The results are used to update the parameters in the Central list of nature protection and suggested treatments are the basis for the future care of the memorable trees. The results showed that the the most common species is Tilia cordata. Trees are generally in a good health, but a regularity of treatment is necessary.

Documentation of Memrial trees in Prague

The objective of this thesis was to make a list of selected protected trees in Prague with evaluation of their current condition by dendrometric values and their subsequent comparison to values recorded in the Central Nature Protection Registry.
In 20 of the selected trees their height was measured using Nikon Laser 550A laser rangefinder, the trunk circumference in 130cm height was measured with a 30m textile measuring tape, with the exception of one Platanus hispanica specimen at Karlovo Náměstí and one Taxus baccata specimen in Franciscan gardens, where the measurements were made at the heel of the tree. Health and vitality were evaluated usind indirect methods, according to guidelines described in the book by Kolářík et coll. (2010). Along with dendrometric values, species recognition and photographic documentation was made using Canon PowerShot SX1 IS and Fujifilm FinePix JZ 100 digital cameras. The target area is located in Prague, Czech Republic. It contains following cadastral communities: Malá Strana, Nové Město, Staré Město, Smíchov, Hradčany, Liboc, Košíře. The data summary shows that the most numerous genus in the target area is Quercus (7 trees), three of which (Quercus robur) are located in Na Cibulkách urban forest, one Quercus petraea in Obora Hvězda, Quercus robur and Quercus frainetto (one of each) at Smíchov, and one Quercus robur in the Old Town. Another group are four Platanus hispanica trees, located near the Grand Priory, at Kampa, at Charles Square and in Kinský gardens. All four Fagus sylvatica trees are located in Obora Hvězda, close to a group of five Aesculus hippocastanum trees which are listed as one entity. On the slopes of Petřín, there is a Fraxinus excelsior tree belonging in Hradčany community and an Acer campestre belonging in Malá Strana community. The tallest measured protected tree is Fagus sylvatica in Obora Hvězda, the shortest is Taxus baccata near the Grand Priory. The Platanus hispanica, located near the Grand Priory as well, has the greatest measured circumference, the Taxus baccata the smallest. Most evaluated protected trees are in good health and good vitality. Measurements recorded in ÚSOP are from years 2007 to 2014.

Mapping woods whitch grows outside the forest in selected areas and their draft protection

The content of this work is map tree species outside of the forest at the cadastral territory of Hluboká nad Vltavou. This is a town lying in the district of České Budějovice in the region of South Bohemia. Part of the work includes a proposal for the protection of these tree species. All tree species that grow outside of plots designated for fulfilling the functions of a forest, growing individually or in groups and in capital areas are considered to be tree species growing outside of the forest. All elements of the tree species, their state of health, species structure and subsequently the protection thereof are described in the work. Furthermore, in the work I focus on scattered greenery and the mapping thereof in a selected region.
